  Deep focus

In deep focus picture the objects both near the camera and far from it can be simultaneously seen as clear and sharp.

Deep focus was used successfully in Orson Welles' film "Citizen Kane" (USA/1941). However, Welles did not invent the deep focus, but could utilize it effectively and creatively in his film expression (cf. Creativity, Creation).

Cf. Optics.
