Production assistant on location keeps detailed record of all takes,
also of the
dialogue, actors' gestures, action, lens used in the camera,
costumes, make-up etc.
The records of the production assistant are made in order to ensure
the continuity
of these elements from one take and scene to another. The
record is taken after each day of shooting to the
editor and the director.
The production assistant also tells the 2nd camera assistant what
to write on the clapperboard (the numbers of the scene and
take), if it is agreed that this is included in the job.
