Objective narration

The level of film narration from the viewpoint of the viewer (of a person outside of the characters and story of the film). In a way the viewer takes a peek into the reality through the eye of the film camera.

Objective narration imitates reality and the author does not emphasize the characters' subjective views on the events of the story.

Cf. Subjective
