The
story of the film is presented through the protagonist. The
protagonists of film and of fairytale are usually almost as
easily identified.
Luke
Skywalker of the Star Wars is like Cinderella of the folktale.
We are intrigued by the
change of Luke and Cinderella. Luke and Cinderella are
both driven to a so-called "hero's journey".
The
antagonist opposes the protagonist's goals. He doesn't
necessarily need to be a "bad guy". The antagonist
opposes openly the protagonist's change.
