Laboratory (developing)

In a laboratory, the filmed negatives are developed into original negatives. Later on, this negative can be used to make work prints, intermediate negatives and positives as well as wide copies and distribution copies.

In traditional film production, the laboratory developing the film has an important function in realizing the tones according to the cinematographer's wishes.
